The center of the circadian rhythm is located in the center of the brain above the optic nerves
A circadian rhythm is a natural, internal process that regulates the sleep-wake cycle and repeats roughly every 24 hours. It can refer to any biological process that displays an endogenous, entrainable oscillation of about 24 hours. These 24-hour rhythms are driven by a circadian or biological clock.
Circadian rhythm can influence sleep-wake cycles, hormone release, eating habits and digestion, body temperature, and other important bodily functions. The biological clock that runs fast or slow can result in disrupted or abnormal circadian rhythm.
The PSiO technology is designed to establish a natural circadian rhythm. The beneficial effect of light is related to its direct influence on the secretion of melatonin, also known as the “sleep hormone”, and the neurotransmitter ‘serotonin’. The PSiO glasses can regulate sleep disorders at two levels. It can first help fall asleep, and it can also prevent awakening at night.
Since the center of the circadian rhythm is located in the center of the brain above the optic nerve that transmits electrochemical signals from the eye to the visible parts of the brain, the PSiO glasses emit a continuous and pulsating light by which they establish a natural circadian rhythm and stimulate melatonin synthesis and good sleep.
